1995 Almasa vision takes shape. Mehdi Amjad aims to create an IT conglomerate.
1996 Almasa Computers is established with a capital of AED 1 million. First Almasa office opens in Dubai.
1997 Almasa starts importing products from Europe, the United States and the Far East. Company achieves turnover of AED 10 million.
1998 Local network is developed with representatives in 13 Middle East markets
1999 As it receives international recognition, Almasa IT Distribution expands into other important IT sectors such as networking solutions, business solutions, software development and manufacture. Company is appointed regional distributor for Maxtor.
2000 Almasa decides to diversify the investment risk and expand into other non-IT areas of business by forming a real-estate division.
2001 Formation of Almasa Business Solutions. Major agreements signed with new vendors such as HP.
2002 Almasa continues to chart unprecedented growth with turnover reaching AED 440 million.
2003 As part of its corporate restructuring process, Almasa Group is formed to be the holding company of all Almasa's business interests.
2004 Almasa IT Distribution is ranked as the No. 1 hardware distributor in the Middle East and North Africa.
2005 Almasa decides to expand its real estate division and forms a new dedicated property development company called Omniyat Property Development Corporation to enter into the GCC property market. A new Corporate Identity is born, reflecting the infinite growth and opportunities ahead of Almasa Holdings.
2006 Establishment of Omniyat Holdings.
