Mio DigiWalker GPS PDA and PND products available at major Power Retail Outlets by April 2007

Almasa IT Distribution announced today that the company has been appointed as Regional Distributor by Mio Technology and it started shipping Mio Technology’s most popular products Mio A700, Mio DigiWalker GPS Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and Personal Navigation Devices (PND) products to all major Power Retail outlets in the UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Products will be available on the shelves by April 2007, namely at Jumbo Electronics, Jacky’s Electronics, Virgin Mega Store, EMAX Electronics, Al Yousuf Computers and Global Link Communications. Almasa IT Distribution to introduce Mio DigiWalker GPS/PDA products to the Middle East region

Almasa IT Distribution today announced that the company has formed cooperation relationship with Mio Technology Ltd, Taiwan, for the Middle East region. Based on this, Almasa will distribute MIO DigiWalker GPS/PDA products in the entire GCC region, namely the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. All Mio DigiWalker products will be equipped with a Map solution for the GCC countries. The maps are in the developing phase and are currently being tested to match highest expectations on reliability, accuracy and ease of use. Almasa IT Distribution carried forward it’s long held tradition of Cricket Challenges and organised the “Almasa & AMD Cricket Challenge”, which took place at Insportz, Dubai on September 22. 128 participants competed in sixteen teams for the 2006 Trophy.
